DECORATIVE MOSAIC RENDER OF INCREASED RESISTANCE TO WASHING, CLEANING AND ABRASION
FOR INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL USE
| AVAL KT 77 is designed for manual preparation of internal and external decorative plaster coatings. It can be used on all even mineral substrates such as concrete, traditional cement plasters, cement plasters, plasterboards and wood-based panels and reinforced layers of External Wall Insulation systems of buildings. It is particularly recommended for pedestals, foundations, balcony walls, etc. A wide range of available colours (the colour palette includes 60 compositions) allow for a large degree of freedom in the design and finish of exhibition rooms, car dealerships, offices, staircases, as well as residential and public areas. |
 |
| AVAL KT 77 is a ready-to-use render based on acrylic resin with the addition of coloured quartz aggregate. It is efficient, convenient and easy to use. It provides hydrophobic layer permeable for water vapour characterised by low stress concentration. High content of pure polymer ensures its exceptional resistance to various kinds of damage, weather conditions, washing, abrasion, etc. Note: AVAL KT 77 is milky-white when applied. It obtains its full proper colour when dried. High air humidity and low temperature may extend the setting time and change colour shades. In case of constant contact with water, the render may go milky white; the effect disappears when the surface dries. Therefore, avoid render application when it is exposed to long-term effect of water or humidity (e.g. on horizontal surfaces or those with small inclination, small ponds, etc.) and elements (foundations, fences or retaining walls) without appropriate damp insulation. |
 |
| The substrate should be stable, even and structurally sound i.e. strong enough; it should be free from anything that may weaken adhesion, in particular dust, dirt, lime, oil, fat, wax. Remove existing paint and render coats of insufficient adhesion. Afterwards, prime the substrate using AVAL KT 17. Fill in irregularities and defects using e.g. AVALA KM 41 levelling mortar, AVAL KT 111 plastering mix or AVAL KT 29 finishing coat. Before plastering, regardless of substrate type, provide a prime coat made of AVAL KT 16 priming compound. Additionally, it is possible to use AVAL KT 16 colour priming compound in the following colours: brick-red, brown or graphite. |
 |
| AVAL KT 77 is ready to use. Having opened the bucket, mix its contents with a slow-speed mixer until homogenous. |
 |
Apply AVAL KT 77 over prepared and primed substrate as a bed using a float made of stainless steel. Thickness of the bed should correspond with the aggregate grain size. Always smooth wet render in the same direction. The lack of uniform render texture due to local irregular floating may result in differences in colour shades on the plastered surface. Experimentally (for a given type of substrate and given weather) determine the maximum area that can be prepared in one technological cycle (application and floating). Apply the mix using the “wet on wet” method, preventing one batch from drying before application of another one. Otherwise the “seams” will be visible. Plan technological gaps in advance e.g. in corners or building angles, under rainwater pipes, etc. Protect the plastered surface, during work and when it dries, from direct sunlight, wind and precipitation. Drying time depends on the substrate, temperature and relative humidity of air and is from ca. 12 to 48 hours. In case of increased humidity and temperature ca. +5°C, render setting time may extend. Substrate and ambient temperature during work and when render dries should be +5°C, max. +25°C.
Note: to avoid differences in colour shades in case of colour mosaic renders, apply render of the same production date on the same surface. The information comprises basic instructions of product application and does not relieve users of responsibility for work in accordance with good construction practice and OHS regulations. |

Depending on layer thickness and substrate type, on average:
ca. 3÷4 kg is sufficient for 1 m2
ca. 4.5÷ 5.5 kg is sufficient for 1 m2 (render no.: 120, 122, 216, 218, 219, 222, 313, 314, 317, 420, 514, 515).
It is recommended to assess precise amount based on a test. |

| A drill with a mixer or smooth float made of steel. Wash the tools with clean water directly after use. |
 |
Plastic buckets: 15 kg, 25 kg
Pallet: 540 kg in 15 kg buckets, 400 kg in 25 kg buckets. |
 |
| Store and transport in tightly closed buckets in dry conditions, ensuring positive temperature (pallets are particularly recommended). Keep dry. Shelf life is 12 months from the production date on the packaging. |
 |
| The product is difficult to remove when it sets. Protect eyes and skin. In case of direct contact with eyes, seek medical attention. |
